It’s that time of the year, time to eat and drink, time to show love and the time to give. For me, December is not about eating and drinking only but a time to take stock, reflect and plan strategically for the new year.

This past week something very significant happened to me, A colleague of mine offered to give me a lift home, bear in mind the drive back home is about an hour. Unknown to me on entering my colleague’s car, my phone had fallen out on the floor in the car park. On getting home I searched everywhere for my phone alas it was nowhere to be found, But I was so sure I left it at work. I Rang my unit, and they searched everywhere it wasn’t there. I logged on the Find my iPhone app on my computer, it was pinging my work address.

So in the end I gave up. The next morning my Husband got a call from one of my colleagues (they have His number on file) saying that they found my phone in the Car park, Intact, and has been kept away in a safe place, ready to be picked up on my next shift.

I was shocked! Why because of a few reasons, which I’m gonna tell you……

  1. The Colleague who found the phone found it in the Car park on her way home, this is a park where cars are constantly driving in and out, A car could have run over it within that 12-13 hour window…
  2. Some people had used the car lot prior to my colleague finishing her own shift and heading home any random person could have taken it..
  3. It didn’t rain despite the fact that it had been raining constantly almost everyday in that week (The car park is an Open field)

Picked up my phone a few days later and not even a single scratch, I’m still amazed and shocked. This reminded me that God is incredibly involved in every detail of our lives even to the most minute things such as losing a phone and getting it back even under the most unlikely circumstances.

I reflected back to the entire year, I had lost my wallet twice this year and found it without no issues. I also remembered leaving my passport on a train but got it back later that day without no issues at all.

Sometimes we expect God to show up in a grand-way, when in actual fact He has shown up in so many little ways that we aren’t even taking notice of. God loves us too much even in the littlest things.

Look around you, think back, trust me you have every reason to be thankful.

Losing my phone that day would have been very disastrous as I have so many information on that phone which would set me back by a few months if I had lost it. (I need to back some stuffs on my cloud). Besides that phone is expensive eh eh… but I have a covenant with God, I don’t lose my stuff and that covenant is actively working because I serve a God who genuinely cares about me.

Look back, reflect, besides the eating and drinking, besides the meet up with friends and family. Take time out, reflect and take stock, count your blessings name them one by one and it will surprise what the Lord has done.

I am grateful for God’s Love,

I am grateful for Life,

I am grateful for family,

I am grateful for new relationships,

I am grateful for new opportunities,

I am grateful for new challenges,

I am grateful for the storms of life, they made me stronger…

I am grateful for supernatural occurrences,

I am grateful for clarity

I am grateful for the gift of the Holy Spirit…

Above all I am excited for what the new year holds and for that I am super grateful…

I am counting my blessings and I am naming them one by one.. who is with me?

Until I come your way next time, remember He loves, manages and is involved in every detail of your life.

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and  Beautiful 2018….

Happy Holidays💜
