I’m sure you are wondering wait a second! hold on…..

He cannot be in love with my messy lifestyle! Well I have good news for you, yes He is in love with your mess yes He is. He loves you irrespective of your dirty past.  He is looking to catch your attention, he wants you, Oh yes he wants you on his side.

Yes you have been abused I know, battered  and probably ashamed, yes that’s fine it’s okay to feel that way after all you’ve been through.

He wants you as dirty as you are because he wants to clean you up, he wants to turn your mess into a testimony, he wants to turn your life around.

He is pure, holy and devoid of any blemish and that is the exact reason why he wants to turn your life around, polish and make you shine bright like a diamond because you are his beautiful Child.

Beloved, Yes He is in love with your mess.

Let me remind you of the story of the woman of Samaria, the adulterous woman, she was married 5 times and the man she was with at the time was not even hers! She was called names,  it is amazing how people like to define and name you after your past.

But she wanted more however, she wasn’t sure because of her past, i do admire the fact that she was thirsty she wanted more for herself, she wanted to draw from the well of grace then she met with her saviour the one who completed her story, her last and final husband and her story changed.

She made it to the greatest book of all time she gained his attention. That could be your story dearly beloved.

Come and draw from the throne of grace, from of the well of mercy and let him rewrite your story, let him heal you of every shame, every hurt, every disgust and every mess. (For further reading John 4)

Here is a short poem written by  a lovely friend

Wading shin deep in the rock pool of misfortunes

I find my thoughts brought once again to the cross with ebbs and flows of wasted life

half on half off, like a signpost twisted in the gale of force winds of regret and indecisiveness

i find myself lost in unanswerable questions

Time and time again, like a breaking shoreline creeping up the bank, the fortress i call my home, built now in sand by mere children

the walls around my heart so heavily fortified crumble like flaked pastry when afflicted with the preposterous notion of grace

Grace for me, grace for you

And how the depth of your love truly surpasses all evil, how the life you bring truly cures this world

and what of you constricted by the dimensions in which we find out Herts…….

Outside time and space, omnipotent in all your splendour to shine, you i grasp at

straws to understand yet you i can accept, my heart however is troubled by the fact that i am a blip on your radar

than more than that you call me child. You call me daughter and deeper still…..

Nailed to wood, lashed, bruised, soaked with vinegar you would bleed out for me so that someday i may learn to love like you do

If that’s not a God that i want to serve with my whole heart, nothing is!
