Do you feel alone, are you constantly pressured to throw away the values you so much hold dear to heart, your principles, your stand in Christ. I urge you stop feeling low, stop feeling pressured why not surrender your feelings to Abba, let him be your strength when you are weak. The society is gradually teaching us to bend our rules and lower our standards, remember 1st Corinthians 6:12 when Paul was writing to the church in Corinth He said “All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me but I will not be brought under the power of any.
Celibacy is fast becoming a thing of history. What happened to being safe, what happened to waiting, what happened to living life with purity and chastity until the right and perfect groom shows up. Can we go back to our old ways; can we go back to loving Christ and looking up to him alone and stop living by the standards which society has set for us. Is it okay to stop living by societal whims?
Can we go back to our first love; can we see Christ as our groom until the physical groom shows up. Can we still uphold our values and standards, wait and hold fast our principles? Wait, wait on him, in the process of waiting work on yourself, develop new skills. Focus on getting better because when the family you so much desire comes through, you can drink from the well of fountain in which you have accrued over the years. Enjoy being single i know it sounds hard, use your single status to your advantage, read books, develop Godly and positive relationships whilst waiting……
Relationship is hard work and it takes work for it to work. In the process of waiting reflect on your low areas and take positive steps to getting better. Whilst you are working on getting better the holy spirit is also working on your better half too that’s why you can’t jump on the next best thing, always settle for the best only.
“Marriage is honourable in all and the bed undefiled” Hebrews 13:4a
I sometimes wish I can turn back the hands of time, i probably would not make certain choices. Do not get me wrong I have no regrets, I am happy and in a very good place however, if I understood very well the things I understand now I would have been so much better at certain things than I am now, do not feel pressured to lower your standards. Jesus Christ is your standard and he is the best standard there is, follow him and only him alone.
Let’s bring back order, let’s bring back Celibacy. Let’s bring back Christ. Let’s clean up his temple. Let’s allow him reign supreme.
“A commitment to turn from behaviour that offends God is the number one sign of spiritual maturity. It shows you care about what he thinks. That means you choose to be generous toward others, you learn to forgive, let go of your offences and live in peace” Joyce Meyer
PS. I am not perfect either but I am working towards perfection in Christ 🙂
Here is a short poem by Ashleigh Ellis-Gowland
Jesus standing at the Altar,
As you walk into the room
And he turns and looks right at you
The anticipating groom
And you see the love in his face,
No sin he sees in you
All in white your purified now
His love brought you at the tomb
So, in love he makes you stronger
And with sin he wipes the slate
The creator of the universe
Yet he cares about your fate
I like that if I understood then very well the things I understand now, I’ll probably have been much better at certain things…there’s always a lesson to learn and to pass forward. Good one dear
Hmmm. let’s go back to our first love. thank you darling.
What an amazing article, thank you very much for this. May God continue to encourage to put out more and refresh you by the use of this medium.
Thanks for this, ma’am. Christ alone, my Rock and Shield.
I am inspired with this…. like you rightfully said “how you wish you can turn back the hands of the time” makes feel l am not a lone. I always say to myself is a learning curve.
