What does “Living an Authentic Life” translate to you.

The Oxford Dictionary defines Authentic as

“Undisputed Origin and not fake”

Undisputed Origin simply put means “something that is absolutely original”

A typical example, when you want to apply for your Passport, the Home Office would usually ask for the Original copy of your birth certificate or whatever documents they need, they want an original not a photocopy.

A photocopy is just what it is a copy…

It’s a copy of something original, It’s not unique in its own self for all we know It could be fake….

So you can understand what it looks like when we are Constantly trying to fit in, or conform, or adapt to other people’s ways thereby losing our own uniqueness in the process.

Let me blow your mind,

God has not created a second you, A second you does not exist…. Maybe in your mind but not in the physical.

There is no second you… Even twins who are very identical have very different traits and Characters. The lines in the palm of their hands is different, regardless of how much they lookalike.

DNA results usually shows 99.999999% never a 100%.

There’s always that 1 percent difference that makes you incredibly UNIQUE

As a survivor one of the things that I struggled with was this constant feeling of wanting to be “ACCEPTED” and wasn’t sure about my “IDENTITY”.

I wanted to be loved, I wanted to be Accepted, I wanted to fit in, I wanted to have an “Identity”

Once I understood that I am already Accepted and that I have a unique identity in Christ” oh my, My entire life took a new turn.

Dear survivor,

You are loved already..

You are his most prized possession, He sent his only son to die so that You can be redeemed. That in itself is proof that He loves you incredibly. You are that one lost soul who the entire host of angels would rejoice over once you are found. He cannot afford to lose you… Yes YOU. You are that IMPORTANT

Dear Survivor

You are accepted, He has accepted you into his kingdom… He has adopted you into Sonship whereby you can call him “Abba’ “Father’

He has removed all the middlemen, He has removed all the barriers, you can approach his throne because you are HIS

YOU can come to HIM Alone, By yourself, you don’t need anyone’s approval.

His blood already approved you. You can approach his throne with boldness and confidence.

Dear Survivor

You weren’t here to fit in but you are here to stand out…

I know it’s a popular saying and it might not make any sense but it is an absolute truth.

Trying to fit often times make you lose your self sense of identity and you get to a point in your life when you don’t even recognise the person staring back at you in the mirror.

Trying to fit gets you into debt,

It allows to do you live a life on the edge.

Puts you under constant pressure of trying to keep up with the jones.

It allows you eat junk food and not help you to process what goes into that precious body of yours

It allows you to sleep with any Tom, Dick and Harry that comes your way just because they have used the ‘L’ Word.

Trying to fit in makes you lose your sense of direction, you are constantly running a race that isn’t your business, or running in someone else’s lane which disqualifies you in a real race anyways.

What I am trying to say is that trying to fit is stressful and you don’t need it.

You find PEACE when you do you

When you do you, you are not like anyone else, you are operating at your maximum, you are living on the inside out and you are living your unique life.

You can only have an identity when you live an Authentic life.

The Battle to stay Authentic is usually won in the mind before it manifests in the physical.
