JOURNALING

The Oxford dictionary defined a journaling as a day to day record of news and events of a personal nature. I want you take note of that word “personal”. Journaling entails keeping record of your personal Journey It could be anything from your vision in life, your goals, your dreams, your aspirations, your finances, your walk with God, your children, your business aspirations e.t.c.

I have always journaled right from my early years, written down my thoughts and feelings in forms of diaries back in the days. Sometime this year, I found some of my old journals after reading through them I was surprised at some of the things I found.

Journaling helps you to put your thoughts into words. the greatest mistake anyone can make is to keep having all these beautiful thoughts and not write them down because the tendency is for you to forget.

In one of my old journals a particular prayer point caught my attention and I wrote “God I don’t know how you will do it but I really want to become a nurse”  this was dated back to 2007 at a time when I had already started a completely different course in the university.

Today 10 years later I am a nurse😎

Journaling has a way of strengthening your faith, you are able to keep track and take stock. One of the greatest benefit of journaling which I found is that it helps you be thankful and grateful.

When you write down a vision, you can run effectively with it. You are living an intentional life.  Habakuk 2:2 Then the Lord answered me and said write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads. Let me briefly explain this bible verse to you. The Lord was instructing Habakuk to write down his vision on a tablet which is a form of book used in their time. Make it plain so that whoever reads it will run with the vision. It’s God’s way of reminding Habakuk that until He writes down his visions, dreams and goals. He will not effectively pursue it the way He is supposed to.  Remember the greatest book of all time “THE BIBLE’ came into existence because some people took their time to journal and ato document events.

Nowadays we have journals for almost every aspect of life. It doesn’t matter how matter how many Journal you have it’s never too much.

I personally keep about 3-4 journals and they all do different jobs. One helps me to write down my Praise reports, my prayer requests, my daily commune with God, my goals and tasks for the day. It helps me stay on course with my day to day activities and tasks, One helps me with my finances and how to keep track of my money,  One helps me to keep track of my activities with my family and children, what I want to see in my family our general vision and goals as a family and to keep track of God’s promises and my spiritual walk with him.  I always have at least one journal in my hand bag. you can have a light bulb moment anywhere at anytime, what you don’t want to risk is to-not write it down there and then.

Can I just say when I am upset I write things down instead of saying them, y’all don’t want to see my journals lol. Journaling for me is very therapeutic.

In the process of writing this Journal at some point I became a bit emotional because Just We are all work in progress, A lot of times we think we have forgiven and moved on but you just might be surprised at  how much you still hold on to. Until you have fully let go, you will not fully utilise all the promises of God for your life and You might not fully achieve purpose.

Every profit single profit made from the sale of this Journal goes into “The survivor’s walk initiative’.

In August we launched “The survivors walk” Initiative, An Initiative targeted at reducing the menace of Sexual violence in the Africa continent at large.

The aim is to empower young girls/adults to take a stand for themselves against sexual abuse.

In the process we will be running sexual Health clinics in very deprived areas that we visit, create some awareness concerning issues regards sexual violence and also provide monthly supplies of sanitary towels for girls in every village community that we canvass.

Can I burst your bubble A year’s worth of Sanitary towel for a girl costs less than £20.

I can understand that not every one is a survivor and might not necessarily need the Journal, but you can purchase for a friend or better show your support by purchasing from the range of “I stand with Survivors” Personalised Mugs and Glow in the dark wristbands.
